The BLM has given the OK for expansion of Coeur d’Alene Mines' Rochester Mine north of Lovelock. The expansion, with capital investment of $29 million starting early next year, is expected to boost average silver production by 2.4 million ounces a year and average gold production by 35,000 ounces a year. The mine will add 200 jobs.
